Not sure how many pipes, I will look tomorrow. If one of the gate valves wasn’t fully open would this mean the hot water cylinder would get only warm not hot?
The complete motorised valve was replaced. At either side of this are two manual wheel type gate valves to isolate the motorised one. One of these was also replaced. Nothing else was touched. No changes to thermostats or anything on the boiler or anything else.
No idea what red has to do with anything. Water is getting warm anyway, just not hot. Full valve replacement. No idea what s or y means. Water was hot with old valve manually put to hw, now only warm. Heating seems fine for the brief time I could stand it to be on.
I have a conventional system and was getting no hot water in the tank. The problem was the motorised valve which I moved manually and the water was then hot. The valve has now been replaced but the water in the tank is warm not hot. Also one of the manual isolation valves was replaced as it was...
I have a cold radiator and one not as hot as it should be both downstairs. Rest downstairs and all upstairs are fine. British Gas talk about a £6-800 system flush being necessary but no way can I afford that.
Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.
