I completely understand that Woody. It may take an hour or two to get to the job and setup but that's all part of being a roofer right? You add that time in when you quote but it's certainly not a job that will take all day. I am waiting for a couple more estimates.
Hi,
AS you can see from the pic (see link) I need a ridge tile replaced. The other ridge tiles don't seem to be too bad and I haven't seen any evidence of leakage.
Can anyone give a guide on how long this job would take? I've only had one quote so far and will be getting more as it really...
I once lived next to a very busy roundabout and had secondary glazing to combat the noise. This worked very well without double glazing. When I had the DG installed it was even better but the sec glazing made all the difference. There was a gap of 15-20 cm between the DG and SC and you could...
Hi,
I want to install an interior solid pine door but rather than a standard install I want to cut it straight down the middle (vertically) french door style. I have a decent circular saw but am concerned that I may destroy the door if I do it.
Have looked around a couple of shops but can...
OK cheers will do some more research and have a word with a couple of engineers. For the sake of an extra £100 or so the 937 looks tempting and if theres another bathroom it will be handy. :)
my mistake.

Don't know much about Viessmann, will take a look at some. My previous Vaillant wasnt that powerful either when it came to shower power but was top notch on heating.
I was looking into the possibility of getting one of these but it may be a bit too much??
Current boiler is a Ferroli thing that has a below average flow rate and is probably over 10 years old. It had a bit of work one on it recently by *several* BG service engineers and the PCB was replaced...
I'm actually in the East London/Essex area myself but travel up to Cambridge/Royston occasionally - might be up there in a couple of weeks time. Don't think I'll be venturing any further north than that though.
Ooops, sorry wrong link, I have changed it now.
It does seem quite expensive so I might have a wee go with the steamer first and see what happens.
I'm not sure what lies beneath the artex but I'm pretty sure it is not just plasterboard as one bedroom was papered and when I removed that I was...

Has anyone used this stuff to remove artex? I have quite a thin layer on some of my ceilings and would like to use something like this to get it off.
Cheers
Thanks for the replies guys. After some further inspection I found out that the makers are Paini but it seems as though my tap may now be obselete (4 years old). I checked their website and I think they have a supplier that can offer a pair of replacement handles for 17.99, which seems a bit...
OK cheers. I can probably find out the make but otherwise are there any places I could go with the part to try and get a replacement, or would this be a mail order thing?
Hello all,
I have a problem with my kitchen mixer tap. The control for the cold side no longer grips as the inner thread is worn so I can't turn the tap on.
I need to know if I will have to buy a whole new unit or if it is possible to buy just the removable cover which is all I really...
