Hi - I have a full pallet of Marley Eternit Double Roman roof tiles which are new and unsused, leftover from bad over-ordering ugh!
Where is the best place/way to sell these at a cheap price?
are there any good surplus building materials websites ?
Thanks!!!
YES! Exactly freddymercurystwin. That's same as my roof setup.
There is the boiler and hot water cylinder in the outside roof space.
This makes me worry if I should avoid cold air ventilation to try minimize heat losses and freezing from all the pipes, boiler and cylinder.
Thanks again
Sorry want to clarify the above:
Also even the section where there is celotex between the rafters and plasterboarded - it doesn't go all the way down to the floor and there is a gap between the mineral wool in the floor and the celotex between the rafters. There is wet patches on the wool...
Hi - NEED HELP! [/b]
I have moved into a house with loft conversion (dormer bedroom) and loft bathroom. Outside the dormer and bathroom is the empty roof space where there is the boiler and unvented cylinder with quite a lot of pipes running across the boarded roof floor. Only about a third...
Hi - is there a difference between the Dulux paint they mix there and then in store versus off the shelf Dulux tins? is quality the same?
i'm guessing since it's the same brand shouldn't it be the same quality
and you'd get it mixed to achieve a certain colour you can't get off the shelf...
Thanks for the replies. So it sounds like it's been plumbed wrong then.
So towel rail radiators should come on with both H/W or C/H circuits - not just one or the other?
Hi - we have a towel rail radiator in bathroom which runs off the hot water system only (and not with the central heating).
Problem is we only have the hot water on for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. Rest of the day the towel rail is cold which is not enough during the winter...
Thanks for the answer.
I see... Warm roof therefore the unventilated air gaps?
Why I got confused was when I took out a downlight from the ceiling, there was celotex all round the ceiling space - so if it's a warm roof there should not be any celotex there right?
Thanks again
help please - is this roof structure a cold or warm roof?
3 layers felt on 80 Celotex on 12 ply decking on firrings at 1:60
unventilated air gap
TLX Rafter Fit
150 rafters at 400 crs
unventilated air gap
12.5 plasterboard and skim
CHEERS!
Hi - please can anyone explain what all this means for a dormer roof 3mx3m (especially the "unventilated air gap" and "TLX Rafter Fix")?
Would the roof be good, durable, energy-efficient if built to specs below?

Hi - had new roof done but found that the builder used the same mix (probably 5:1 sand/cement) to lay our patio slabs - but some of the slabs on the steps we've managed to pull off with a simple tug! and it's only been 2 months!
I'm worried about my new roof which the same builders did...
Thanks v much for both replies. Complete novice here (as you can tell if I had much experience, then I would have stopped the builders there and then when they were squeezing the mastic on) so please bear with me.
Please can you explain the difference between weathering slate and lead...
