I agree with David. The setting for 'pump blocking' or as on my VRC 430 'pump delay time' will shut the boiler down from time to time and this is on top of the boiler shutting down when the flow temp overshoots or flow/return difference becomes too small.
My suggestion in addition to the...
Problem solved!
For those who may be interested, I drained down the system, did a cold flush, refilled and treated with Fernox F1. Its been almost a week now and the system is running very quite.
Why did I choose this course of action?
Well, first, the two plumbers I contacted did not...
UPDATE
I couldn't test the AAV fitted to the pump as the cap does not fully unscrew.
However, I did tinker around a bit and I think it may be air or some sort of gas causing the problem. Here's what I did -
1. Start boiler with just DV for rads open - Initially what sounds like a...
Tony,
I did test this yesterday but only the one fitted to the heating circuit which seems to be working fine which was expected as I replaced this a few months back as the previous one leaked like an incontinent pensioner.
I'm bit reluctant to test the one fitted to the side of the pump...
Forgive my ignorance, but what are revolver circuits and how would I determine their size?
With ref to the noise, the boiler is at s.24 when it starts and the noise continues through s.27. When i checked this yesterday, the noise started when the flow temperature reached 65c.
Cheers.
Oh, I didn't mention that boiler control is a VRC430 weather compensator, and the hw cylinder stat and DVs are wired through a VR65 control centre. Consequently the boiler knows if the demand is for heating or hot water. Within the boiler configuration menus, setting d.19 (pump speed) is set...
I have a two year old Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 615 system boiler which runs the heating and charges a Megaflow hot water cylinder.
I've noticed a rushing noise (like theres debris in the water) from it when its heating the cylinder. It kicks in when the flow temperature reaches approx 75c -80c...
I had almost finished the gloss coat on my new door frame when I dragged the brush over a remnant of silicone from sealing around the bath. The paint immediately started to mottle. I have stopped painting and am allowing it to dry.
Could anyone help with advice on how to recover from this...
Hi. I'm changing my basin mixer tap and the replacement has fixed 10mm chrome plated tails. I'm after some fitting tips and have some questions -
The best way to bend the tails?
Can I cut the tails down without damaging the chrome?
Should I remove the chrome where the compression...
I’m refitting my bathroom and it would be helpful if I could slightly lower the Air Admittance Valve (AAV).
I note from this forum and other www sources that the AAV should be fitted above the flood level of the highest appliance or above the trap level of the highest appliance. These may...
Thanks for the posts
It can be used for a lot more. You can access all the diagnostics, settings and fault codes remotely from your PC; you can configure some of the VRC400/430, etc settings; and you can capture all sorts of data and plot it into graphs, etc.
Hi.
Can anyone confirm that vrDIALOG 810/2 will work with my system which comprises - ecoTEC plus 615, VR 65 and VRC 430? Its compatibility with the VRC 430 that I worried about as its quite new.
If so, can the software access and configure the Holiday programme usually set on the VRC...
That’s interesting. I have the Vaillant sensor and VR65, but didn’t fit the sesnor thinking the only advantage would be the ability to adjust the HW temp from the VRC430. What are the benefits of using the sensor and would I need to adjust some settings on the boiler ie storage part load...
Thanks, you're a star!
I set the heating part load (d.0) to 8kW as I don't have the system set to charge HW when heating. Early signs are good - the boiler runs continuously until the house has reached the set temperature and it reaches the set temperature a lot quicker than before. Before...
