Hello mate, really interested in the solution you finally went with all those years ago; trying to fit your chrome waste pipe into the solvent weld plumbing chased into blockwork or similar. I am doing a wetroom and your description of your problem is exactly my situation now!! My chrome waste is 34mm at bottle trap end and tapers or necks in at other end to 32mm. Crosswater (suppliers) say it is designed to slot into the plastic waste pipe (not a fitting). It is actually a nice fit but that does not mean it will seal?? I was going to wrap some ptfe or what ever it is called tape around the neck and get a tighter fit and I believe it will all be stable when the basin bottle trap is fitted.
