Drainage quotes am I paying to much?

Your all probably right, Maybe I am thinking to much about it...I was ripped off for over £10,000 by a builder and the work in the pics was his work, and your right I could probably do it myself, I have just completed an extension that the builder left half built, while working a full time job...

Drainage quotes am I paying to much?

Thanks for your indepth reply I was just thinking it seems very steep when I was told it would take at most 1.5 days to finish, I have done some rough pricing and can't see materials going past the £300 mark and probably cheaper if there was no need to change the chamber...so that leaves £1600...

Not sure why he said a bigger chamber needs fitting as there are no extra inlets needed..this chamber runs to the older chamber.

Drainage quotes am I paying to much?

Hi I have had a quote for £1900 to make good the drainage system...does it sound fair it's for 1.5 days work that's how long they said it would take them. I have attached images to give a better understanding of what needs to be done.

    Bottle gully type

Thanks so much for all this advice, the building inspector is aware, and yes garden is very much clay. All the rainwater pipes from the older part of the house flow into the sewer, the house was built around 1960! I'm not sure if all foul water and rainwater was separated before 1960. Thank you all

    Bottle gully type

Thanks for the replys, I have drawn a crude plan of how it is at the moment. So between the sewer pipe end and the RWP I would need another chamber? With RWP bottle gully and sink waste bottle gully connected to this chamber?

    Bottle gully type

thank you for the reply, the pipe underneath the lintel connects direct to the sewer chamber, the rain water and waste all go To the sewer chamber. So If I get a bottle gully like the one in Nosalls post for the rainwater pipe and then connect it to a bottle gully for the sewer waste pipe (the...

    Wall not straight, kitchen fitting

Thank you for your detailed reply, I have decided to remove the offending plasterboard and get it redone, I was spending to much time worrying about the potential knock on effects, it's only 2 dot and dab plasterboards that seem to be the main issue. Thank you all for the reply I love this site...

    Wall not straight, kitchen fitting

Thank you I'm not sure if I am just over thinking everything, the base units will be 560mm depth with a 20mm door so total of 580mm depth they will also have a 42mm service void that could also be scribed to the wall to make the units sit square...the worktops are 650mm wide so that gives 70mm...

    Wall not straight, kitchen fitting

Thanks so much for your reply The wall is straight but yes it's not a true 90 degrees there will be a 3.6m run of wall units and base units with a 3.6m worktop with a cut out for the hob, I would say it runs out 30mm from one side to the other, if the base units are kept square would scribing a...
