Ahhhhhhhh you're right. There is a switch! Amazing. I never saw it before, it's very discreet, and my device is placed right in a corner. It has 3 settings. Top middle and bottom. Any idea what they each are?

Nope. No such flag or switch. No switches on it at all. I'm still none the wiser about how to quieten the buzz. I guess that would be the best outcome.

I take great care NOT to get it WET but the lady i live with is less careful and often splashes water. should i be very concerned about the floor lasting long term? she knows water would damage it but probably doesn't notice splashes.
