AEG Dishwasher melts three pin plug rather than trip RCD

Almost a year ago dishwasher plug melted around fuse area but did not trip the MCB or RCD. See video. Plug and socket were replaced. Now dishwasher is tripping RCD but socket and plug look fine. Eventually moved dishwasher to different socket on different RCD, no trip. Moved back again to...

Plasson Stop Tap Red button function

Contacted Plasson and asked them what the red button was for, there response was: "That is the pin that holds the blue handle to the body of the fitting." So there we go.

Plasson Stop Tap Red button function

Contacted Plasson, they confirmed it has no function, it is just the pin that holds the blue handle to the body of the fitting. Thanks for the suggestions. Just need to replace it now after finding the main isolater in the front lawn.

Plasson Stop Tap Red button function

Thanks. Had seen their website and , like you, thought it unhelpful. May try calling them tomorrow. It is actually at an elderly friend's house. In the garage but I'm pretty sure I can find the external stop valve. I have tried pressing the red button but it seems rigid so may well be has no...

Plasson Stop Tap Red button function

Trying to turn off a Plasson 20mm stop but even when fully clockwise water is still getting through. Is the red button function anything to do with how far it turns? Have attached photo.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

As we suspected then. We are having a plumber round tomorrow to have a look and quote for a proper job. Thanks to all for your constructive help.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

So the consensus is then that changing the 10mm to 15mm will not make any difference??

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

It's a relatively new build and it appears all the pipes are hidden in the walls. I don't know how we could find them but even if we could the position of the new room would make it very difficult to get to the new rads wherever they. I appreciate that may be what we have to do but thought it...

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

As you may suspect unfortunately it's not that simple. If we can't get to the main 22mm flow and return what would be "getting it done right"? Thanks.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

Original Rad is 0.8kw. Try closing all rads but the furthest one of the new two never gets warm.

Two new radiators off pair of existing 10mm plastic tails

Just had a new extension and had two (1kw) rads installed in new room. The builder has connected the new rads to an existing rad's 10mm plastic pipe tails. One of the new rads is 5m away from the other and this rad does not get warm let alone hot. We have checked water is flowing through and...

Is this granite or Engineered stone

Thanks lostinthelight, That's interesting. I get the feeling if your underside was highly polished it would look the same as the topside. If my underside was highly polished it would look nothing like the topside. Still undecided.

Is this granite or Engineered stone

New build 7 years ago, cancelled order, salesman told us it had granite worktops in kitchen. Always thought it was till we came to extend and looked at the underside of the worktop. It looks totally different. So do you think it is engineered stone or quartz rather than natural granite? We...
