I tightened them more out of desperation, it has sealed all but 1 now
I also purchased some B&Q fittings, and these sealed without any issue
It doesn’t seem to have damaged the pipe too much but it has squashed the olives, (they look like copper olives). will this cause any problems later on?
I purchased several 15mm Compression fittings from Toolstation (made for trade brand)
I’ve never had a problem with sealing compression fittings, but these just won’t seal!
I cleaned the pipe, and did them about a quarter turn tight.
They are now overtightened, as I tried all I could to get...
I'm adding a couple of isolators under my kitchen sink, so I don't want to get any swarf in the cold water supply.
would it be better just to cut it with the slice and leave it?
Is there any need to de-burr a pipe after using a pipe slice?
I want to add some isolator valves, but I don’t want any swarf in the pipe after de-burring.
I will try the weekend, it's quite difficult to picture the rear when it's in place.
Should there be an isolator valve? It was fitted sometime between 2003 & 2004 and its 15mm copper pipe
I had my electric oven replaced by an electrician some time ago, the new oven is slightly deeper than the previous one and now seems to be very close to or touching the copper gas pipe
Will this cause any problems?
Also, should the pipe have an isolator fitted?
I’ve just stripped the wallpaper off my bedroom, and there is a layer of old yellow emulsion paint
The house was built in the 1950s, and I was wondering if emulsion ever contained lead.
Thank you for your reply (y)
The pipe feeds the filling loop to the boiler and then the outside tap, would there be an issue if I put the DCV before the tap, filling loop and isolator?
Two DCVs would then protect the boiler, but it would give me more room to work!
Thank you, the reason I'm altering the pipe is to meet the regs.
It's no bother fitting one, but all the piping goes upwards vertically so where should it go, just above the DCV?
Does the DCV go after the isolator valve?
Hi
I want to replace my outside tap and pipework as the old one doesn't have a Double check valve (inside or out).
I have purchased A DCV and isolator, but do I need a drain-cock on the inside?
also is it - isolation valve then DCV?
