    There's water in the tank too. Get cleaned out, find where the water has got in, flush pipe through and change the pump as it will fail soon enough.

    If a G1 installer its a 10 year warranty. That flue is a bloody disgrace. Grant boiler and flue if installed correctly will give years of trouble free service as long as it is service yearly. No way that person is OFTEC registered.

    Nothing wrong if installed correctly. My system was put in about 1974 and works fine. Won't work for air source as too small but originally on an AGA fan flued gas boiler.

    Nope. Coil turns a barrel inside to regulate temp, if you remove coil, no connection between temp control and barrel. You will be able to get instructions online or if you order a seal pack.     Looks quite a new Vortex so could be under Grant warranty if a boiler fault. There have been issues with PCBs on newer grants having replaced a few now under warranty so worth checking with them.
