Thank you Nige. Now I know what to ask for I think I will give it a go. If I do it myself at least I will know it is done properly.

I have had a quote for £100 to clean the guttering and bargeboards, or whatever they are called, on my house. It is probably not unreasonable as it is a fairly large, 5 bedroomed house but I can't afford it. I would, therefore, like to clean it myself but I don't know what are the options...
