Texecom premier elite - zone default to omit

Pretty simple. They have a garage zone, but due to advancing age now have a gardener coming in to mow the lawns when they are out, so they want the garage zone left unarmed when the house is alarmed in its normal "away" state. But they still want the garage armed as normal when they set their...

Texecom premier elite - zone default to omit

Thanks, I'm glad I wasn't just missing something obvious. I might just have the user (my parents!) swap over their main full arm and their night time part arm as this would fix it immediately and allow me to do the omit that they want. Or just add a second part arm would also work.

Replaced fan oven element, now trips RCD

Yes, a new one on me too but here we are a month later and the oven hasn't missed a trick since then. I guess this is one of those "old hands" bits of knowledge that someone that does it day in and day out would know, but for me it was a proper lightbulb moment! Absolutely, I'm sure any of...

Texecom premier elite - zone default to omit

Hi there, Daft question, which I'm struggling to work out how to do: how can you have a zone that is omitted by default, and only included (guard or entry/exit) in a part-arm? I was hoping to set the zone type to "not used" and then set "guard" for attribute 1, but clearly setting the zone in...

Replaced fan oven element, now trips RCD

This is a really old thread, so I slightly apologise for reincarnating it, but it turned up on Google when I was searching for this exact problem and I thought, 10 years later, it was worth adding a new, updated comment. This worked for my aging Ikea oven. This is the third or fourth lower...

Vortice Lineo 100T - running extremely slow

Yes (for the external connections) and it was wired correctly, but still not working. Would have been nice to spend the time to work out why, but just happy to have it replaced and working again!

Vortice Lineo 100T - running extremely slow

Quick update - I replaced the capacitor, but this did not fix it. In the end, I replaced the whole thing like for like (this makes it a very easy drop in replacement without disturbing the pipework) and it's all working again.

Effect of 22kW EV charger connected to 30A 3 phase

Almost unrelated to your question, but it's worth checking which EV (or EVs) you plan to use with your new charger as relatively few actually support 22kW charging these days. By no means all of them support it and a surprising number are limited to 7kW single phase or 11kW single phase. Over...

Yes, absolutely no resistance at all

Vortice Lineo 100T - running extremely slow

Hi all, Wet day, so time to sort that bathroom extractor fan that hasn't been working for...errr, 5 years! It's a Vortice Lineo 100T V0, 4" timer model. Electrically, everything looks ok (and certainly hasn't changed since it was installed originally around 15 years ago) but when switched on...

Recommendation for wired alarm system for competent amateur in new build

More info here: https://github.com/dchesterton/texecom2mqtt-hassio ...and a long discussion thread here: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/texecom2mqtt-texecom-alarm-panel-and-mqtt-integration-with-ha-support/ Pretty quick and easy to set up and is mostly stable (although there is a...

Texecom Cloud - no notifications overnight? (9th Jan)

Hi both, sorry for not replying - I missed the notifications. It looked to clear itself up later that day so I'm not 100% sure if this was a problem of my parents' making (likely!) or some other issue going on. Either way, it's been working ok since then...well, until today when it all fell...

    Texecom Cloud outage - 24th Jan 2024

FYI, Texecom are having a bad day today, so if your connected panel is throwing errors, or the app isn't working, this is probably why: https://texecom.trust.pagerduty.com/

Recommendation for wired alarm system for competent amateur in new build

My (as a similar competent amateur) recommendation from limited experience would be Texecom Premier Elite appropriately spec'ed for your needs. Easy enough to install and the programming, while a little fiddly, isn't so hard once you get your head around it (and is much easier with their Wintex...

Texecom Cloud - no notifications overnight? (9th Jan)

Just enquiring in case anyone else saw anything - my parents reported getting no app notifications for an alarm activation overnight, nor were they getting other notifications. They set the alarm off again this morning and again did not receive notifications, but they've just tried again and it...
