Would it be acceptable to have the feed and vent pipes rising of the flow from the boiler, to keep header tank above it. While keeping the pump ~6m away in the airing cupboard. Or is this to far from the pump to be effective.
Just water pipes for bath room, kitchen etc(nothing that takes more than maines water presser).
I presser test all that I can to 3bar (I have read that pressurized systems should be check to 10 bar. don't think I could pump that hard its bad enouth a 3) most my dry gadge will go to.

I have read in a few CH installation guides that the header tank should be positioned as close to vertical above the boiler as possible.

Having resonantly moved and changed an old fused CU to a new split load one. I am experiencing the mcb tripping on the current surge when a bulb blows.

I put blocks of wood in the wall attached to the Blocks then replasterd over. To give something firm to attach to as even with ancaring though the cavity to the blocks I found that I could not stop the wait of anything over about 2grams :-) from breaking the plaster board back into the cavity...
What’s the best way to strip the chrome off plated copper pipe? As scraping it seems to leave the pipe surface rough.
I'm concerned about the quality of the seal I will get on it.
