OK cheers Any views on full or half tiling?

Hey, We have a small bathroom, approx 1350mm x 2450mm which we are going to tile with tiles sized 360mm x 275mm. I'm looking for advice on what might look better either half tiled or fully tiled? I want to do a brick type pattern. Can anybody offer any thoughts/tips? Thanks

Is there a way to determine if all of the paste has gone? I believe I have done a good job and used a steamer and scraper however I dont want to go to the bother of painting if I am missing something obvious? Some areas appear shiny, yet smooth and I know I went over that area. thanks

have you replaced the tubes? I find old tubes that are starting to fail will initially strike but then fail as they warm up. I believe the ballast detects a failing lamp and shuts down rather than attempt to continuously restrike

so having small shiny patches is OK? It looks quite patchy as the old paint appears to be quite uneven and to get every square inch shine free would be nightmare

Thanks for the advice I thought you had to sand the shine off the gloss to allow a half decent chance of any undercoat to adhere for a decent finish of top coat?
