Where to install vents in shed with tumble dryer

Great, thanks. So the cheapest and most cheerful one from Wickes or Screwfix should do OK? The shed door definitely isn't airtight!

Where to install vents in shed with tumble dryer

Hi there. We've just put a condensing tumble dryer into our shed and obviously, it's creating a reasonable amount of heat and, to a lesser extent, moisture in there. At the moment we're just keeping the door open while it's on but I'd prefer to have some vents in place to keep it secure. My...

Caring for new lawn this autumn

Hi all, I laid a new turf lawn in March this year and so far so good apart from the odd bald patch here and there which I'm sure is down to the local cats. I was looking into what I should do for the lawn this Autumn to help it out and it seems that the options are to give feed, aerate and to...

    Installing Willow Screening to wall

I used staples for my 1m high screening but found that the 2m stuff didn't hold up that well so in the end used screws and washers which did a much better job.

Corsa 02 front wiper problem on intermittent

OK thanks for this, it does seem that quite a few Corsas have been affected by it, pity.

Corsa 02 front wiper problem on intermittent

My front wipers are playing up in intermittent mode, basically they 'stick' half way up and won't return properly so I have to either flick the arm or put them on full motion to get them to go back. I think I've eliminated the problem being the screen or blades as they've been washed + the...

    Best way to repair mortar

Ah yes, I forgot this - I'll be doing that at the weekend with the neighbour's permission.

    Best way to repair mortar

Hi, we've recently had a patch of damp near our front door which I'm 99% sure is because next door's drainpipe is leaking and the rain sometimes comes straight down the wall and into the cracks shown here. What's the best way to repair this crack? Should all of the mortar be taken out and...

How to connect water butt to drain pipes

Hopefully you can see from the pic that the pipes from our gutters go directly into the soil pipe and then on into our sewer. Would it be possible just to extend one or both of the drain pipes into a water butt and then have the overflow going from a hose pipe into a nearby drain? This is the...

Different opinions from plumbers - who is right?

Sorry for my delays on postings - if I could get on here more I would. To answer the question about the controller, the boiler does start up when the timer asks it to even if the CH is off. When I say off, I mean that the thermostat in the hallway is turned down to 10c, does that make sense?

Different opinions from plumbers - who is right?

Thanks for all the answers. What information is needed as to what system I have? I had a look last night and took some pics, hopefully these will help to understand our system. http://img396.imageshack.us/my.php?image=12062008052kk6.jpg...

Different opinions from plumbers - who is right?

Hi there. We've recently noticed some problems with our heating system and, having spoken to a couple of plumbers, we're none the wiser as to what the answer is. We have a back boiler system with hot water cylinder and the main problem is that we have no hot water when the central heating is...
