    You do know Strong Boys are attachments that fit to the top of an Acro props and not big lads from down the gym lol. You may be able to see from underneath if ceiling is being removed.

    Big boys lol. I think you mean strong boys. Yes that is normally fine providing the joists bear on the wall that is being removed. Also it may be worth removing skirting upstairs to check floor joists are packed on top touching the brickwork above them.

    Using trench blocks you will save you on cavity fill concrete. You have to fill cavity up to 225mm from DPC normally.

    Plasterboard direction on a new stud wall

    Just put a 30mm piece of board at skirting level. The joint will be covered by the skirting anyway & give you more to attach the skirting too. Leave approx 10mm gap form floor so any water spilt etc does no soak up the plasterboard
