    yeah thats what I thought. so as it stands now, the wiring is correct and I am good to go ( once I have isolated the green/yellow wire :) ) I have not yet switched on the power.

    create small link Wiring to Hive receiver and wiring to 230v side of boiler. is this correct? or does the yellow wire need to connect to something? next to Grey wire. but not connect to anything in hive?

    Many thanks for all of your replies, very informative ( and probably a little bit expensive for me ) in lay mans terms, using the above wiring, what do I join from where to where on the hive. Blue / Brown of course. Yellow and gray to where please. and Thanks again.

    I have put the crappy siemans one back on it now, however I wired as thus L and N ( brown / black ) when Blue to 4 and yellow/green to earth connector it all registered correctly etc and was recieving from the sender to the transmitter, when I asked Alexa to turn the heating up it blue the...

    ok, I have replaced the fuses. and maybe will have to get someone to replace the PCB. ( Price idea anyone? ) any idea on what smart system I could use with the Boiler instead.

    ok, so I connected L and N and then connected the earth and finally the connection to #4. the hive saw the system fine, all booted up and saw temps etc. we I went and used the hive to start the heating up, the fuse blew and I had to replace it, tried again in case of a faulty fuse, Blew again...

    yeah was a combi with a very small cylinder in a bathroom cupboard, the main boiler ( an ideal ) had started to leak even though it was only 5 years old ( only lived here for the last two ) the Hive is dual channel ( 2 green lights ) new boiler is a proper combi. might need to read up on...

    Hi All, New member with a question. I have gone from a combi with water cylinder to a combi with instant hot water. can I use my Hive from my old set up with my new one if I don't connect the hot water contacts in the receiver? or do I need to buy a single heating only receiver for it? Thanks
