    Creaky Floorboards in New Build

Hi. I’ve noticed recently after 3 years in my new build house that the upstairs floor is creaking in a few places. I’ve pulled up the carpet and had a look but it’s different to what ive worked with before, there are no screws in there already so I’m assuming it’s all glued down. What’s the...

New wall sealant / cleaner recommendations

Hi, I’ve recently had a new wall built outside my house, after a couple of weeks the rain has started to cause black and yellow streaks from the top of the wall. I’ve asked the builders and they have been next to useless, they suggested a sealant of some kind. Does anyone know what product...

    Zanussi fridge loud buzzing noise

I have a Zanussi zrb932fw2 fridge freezer which has recently started to emit an increasingly loud humming/ buzzing noise. I have listened closely and it seems the noise is coming from behind the ventilated compartment at the roof of the freezer section. I have looked everywhere for an...

Mount TV to wall/ steel beam

Thanks for the feedback. @bernardgreen - Yes it is an I beam, encased in plaster and a bit of wood. So it's possible to drill this onto the wall then with some tek screws? Smaller hole and HSS drill bit's should be good? Thanks

Hi, I have a TAP9157 - Lamona Chrome Professional Style Monobloc Tap which is dripping from the spout. After looking into it further i have found that this may be due to one of the 1/4 turn valves needing replacing. Looking online it seems that these are not standard and there are different...

Digital meter constant red light issue

@ban-all-sheds: Thanks, will check when I get home. @plugwash: The meter in the photo is in a central cupboard. I've flicked the switch fuse off and on but it didn't do much. The flick switches in my actual flat have all been reset off/on also.

Digital meter constant red light issue

Yes everything was fine. I had the washing machine on and also a few mobile devices charging. No lights were on at the time as it was midnight. My property management are in no rush to fix the issue and it seems that it is out of my comfort range to attempt anything myself.

Digital meter constant red light issue

@ban-all-sheds: Sorry, I should have rephrased my question. I'm not overly interested in how there is a red light on the meter. My main concern is that no electrical equipment in my flat is working. @Lectrician: Thanks for the information. I'll double check everything again and call...
