Hi. I’ve noticed recently after 3 years in my new build house that the upstairs floor is creaking in a few places.

I’ve pulled up the carpet and had a look but it’s different to what ive worked with before, there are no screws in there already so I’m assuming it’s all glued down.

What’s the best way to find the joists so I can screw the boards? I’ve attached photos of the boards and the screws I’ve used in the past. 680EE8DF-8082-4CC0-B235-95FF2D4F47AE.jpeg2A9CC8D0-4E01-4273-B796-06DF3F5ADE56.jpegEFDDE636-5B58-4A0A-BE0A-5530B61F428F.jpegB85B3246-210D-4DB3-8CFE-16809F1AA36A.jpeg

I knew it would be chipboard.

Rip it up and fling it in a skip.

Somebody will be along in a minute trying to tell you it's a quality product.
