    Salus RT500RF Problem

The set temp the boiler will shut off at is down to the dial setting on the boiler. If this is at a low setting the boiler will keep shutting off more frequently even when the thermostat is calling for heat. Put the dial to the max and see if there is any change.

    Salus RT500RF Problem

Don't take this the wrong way but are you familiar with the boiler turning off when it reaches a certain temperature regardless of the thermostat calling for heat? Depending on the setting of the heating dial.

    Screwdriver Bits....but slimmer

I open some cases with Philips screws in them but the screw is quite recessed so I'm just out of reach as the screwdriver bit from a power driver is marginally too wide to fit into the recess. Are there bits available with a thinner shaft allowing such access? I've tried to find them with no...

Can an AAV be fitted with an open vent pipe?

The stack is plastic but the underground piping is clay. Where it connects in the concrete floor the concrete seal is intact. There is some moisture in the ground area there which is more evident from the stained ply housing which sits on the ground but nothing untoward. Chris, would the...

Can an AAV be fitted with an open vent pipe?

Hi Hugh, Actually I've just realised I'm barking up the wrong tree anyway. There is a major foul drain smell coming into the house, mainly into the bottom floor of a 3 storey house. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's really bad. This particular internal soil pipe only serves the very...

Can an AAV be fitted with an open vent pipe?

Hi, Can an AAV be fitted into a soil stack which already has an open vent pipe? If so, is there one that can literally be pushed/glued into the side of the vertical soil pipe? Thanks for any help.

ADT alarm - not sure what's been done.

But anyway, no point filling up a forum with a long ding dong. There is some good stuff here and eventhough I may not be enamoured with certain persons on here, whatever the misunderstanding, I don't want to tar all tradesmen that may post on this forum.

ADT alarm - not sure what's been done.

My original post was politely worded. I GOT attitude in return. Hence my reply. Also note that I didn't even ask for the defaulting instructions, I already have that information. My questions were simply on why the panel was reacting the way it was.

ADT alarm - not sure what's been done.

Thanks for the response. I didn't say anything to the contrary. Obviously if I thought that, I wouldn't be asking these questions. Strangely I assumed this was a forum about DIY - i.e. Do it Yourself. Obviously just a place for DIYers to post and 'tradesmen' to patronise.

ADT alarm - not sure what's been done.

Hi All, I'm sure you've heard this tale many times - moved into property with an ADT Galaxy G2-12 control panel. Original homeowner had monitoring and told me to go to that company if I want to continue using the alarm. Owner did provide me with a prox key though. I placed the prox key...
