Yes, the batteries are in the right way round. Could the problem be that I left it it too long before I changed the batteries? Never had this problem in the past.

i changed the batteries in my worcester digistat cd transmitter and now there is no display to show the temperature etc. any ideas as to whether or not the transmitter needs replacing? i've tried commissioning the receiver and digistat cd but that didn't help.

I think the problem is solved as I found a switch inside the fridge next to the thermostat that was 'on' when it should only have been switched 'on' if the temperature was below 16 degrees C in the kitchen. Also I don't think the thermostat was set high enough. Fingers crossed it is sorted!

You don't say which make/type of boiler you have, but it could be the water to water heat exchanger that is faulty and would have to be replaced. If you have the manual for your boiler it should tell you how to do it. I replaced mine as I had the same problem.
