    Thank you, I used the screwdriver and then tapped with a hammer. It came loose, then just using my hands with a new pair of gardening gloves I managed to loosen it. It is working fine now. Also the jaws are closer to being fully aligned.

    And it will require unscrewing everything, so may as well reverse the planks. If they appear very different, like discolored or anything, I can sand them! or use a darker stained oil. I dont know, will decide when I have time to do it next year.

    YEs but it will be many times easier when smooth side is up. With grooves you will need to sweep all the way to end of each plank! or use a mop to sock it up and squeeze it out! Water is one problem, other is dirt and gunk.
