Earlier this week I parked up my 23 year old Polo to find that that power assist had completely stopped with a warning on the dash indicating a problem. I checked the level of fluid in the tank and it looks normal. Then I tested the alternator and battery with a multimeter. Battery read 12.6...

My step bricks have slumped down over the years which I want to re-lay. can anyone tell me how I can get them out without damaging them please as I tried a crowbar which didn't work and I stopped for fear of chipping them ?

The trouble with lead flashing being that wide is it can't overlap too much as the window has to be able to open as well as slide out along the ridge for servicing, cleaning etc.

Well, after using the advided sealant that doesn't shrink or expand, it has happened again after at first staying smooth. I give up!
