Thanks. The plastic ball is flat on one side so which way round would that need to go if the plastic washer is next to the screw cap.

Help please. Just installed a basin mixer with pop up waste but have a small leak where the rod assembly screws in from the side. There is a plastic ball and a plastic washer that the push rod goes through which is then screwed in with a chrome screw cover. Not sure if I have the washer and ball...
