    I could try a different bulb for my existing light I guess. But I want a nice appearance overall too. Something that looks high end. I'm looking to spend upto £400 per light. I can't find anything that fits the bill at all going down cfl route. I don't want some kind of lamp shade arrangement...

    Yes correct the CFL lights right now have 4pin connections on and the new lights I want are ES incadescent. Just had this back from the manufacturer: "Weight of each light is 800g If you are fixing these lights to plasterboard, then you would need plaster board screws and fittings"...
