Just to clarify, We can't rely on visitors/children pressing the button gently. Also, I'd rather fix the mechanism than remember to be gentle with it - it seems to be getting worse over time. Any thoughts as to what might be making it stick, and how to fix it?

I'm planning to get my boiler serviced for the winter. It has very occasionally failed to light and locked out the ignition over the last few months. Should I be asking for a repair, or assuming that this can be dealt with by the servicing?
