    Thanks. 4-bed CHALET bungalow - originally 2-bed bungalow, but two more beds + bathroom added in original loft space. F and E tank (if vented system) would be in remaining loft space above first floor, i.e. almost in the apex of the roof. Does this affect your comments on head height...

    Alan, Thanks for your comments. I know it's not advisable to reinstate it, and I don't intend to. Which is why it's not really appropriate to discuss with insurers the consequences of failure after reinstatement. I have already negotiated with them to pay the equivalent of the full cost...
