Thanks for the reply Nige, It is the overflow that is flowing. I can't see the vent pipe as the header tank is hidden away in a really small overhead cupboard in the eves above the attic. The pipework is 22mm (maybe 3/4"), as its back bone with all radiators being fed from 15mm (or 1/2")...
