I am looking to add something to my central heating system to help with limescale and generaly give the boiler an easier time, can anyone reccomend a good product and how to add it to the system...
Ok... My ideal classic ff250 boiler keeps cutting out due to (i beleive ) overheating. Every time i fire it up it will gurggle a hell of a lot how do i get rid of this air. Tried the obvious one radiators and bleed tap in airing cupboard which has helped but not cured
The pump appears to be ok, i had it working yesterday but didnt let it run for long just in case i was doing more harm than good. I will try your sugestion anyway i just dont understand it .......
sorry don't know, at work at the moment. Its about 10 years old and has a small drop/swing down panel on the front that reveals a few controls. Is it a job for a qualified plumber or can i bleed the air ?
I beleive the make is ideal , its gravity fead with pump and i have a hot water tank upstairs in the airing cupboard. Is it possible for air to get trapped in the boiler ?
ok, so the plot thickens. I have fixed the leak and re-filed the system. The boiler kicked in for about 30 secs then went out, i cant even see the pilot light. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
I managed to put a nail through a radiator pipe so shut off water with stop cock and drained central heating system (after tying float to stop tank in loft from re-filling) Put water back on but ( central heating still drained ) but now boiler wont fire up to heat hot water etc. Can someone...
