    Radiator Danfoss Valve

Thanks all. Really appreciate the responses. It seems a straightforward enough job - any other "gotchas" I should be aware of? (I.e. What can I expect to go wrong? :-D)

    Radiator Danfoss Valve

Perfect, thanks. Are they a pretty standard size? My property is 10 years old which I imagine must still be classed as "modern"! :-)

    Radiator Danfoss Valve

Yes I think it's definitely the O ring, it looks a bit worse from wear even from the outside. I may tighten it just while I wait for my tape to arrive. Could I just replace the whole plug?

Ah! So it's just a cap? Sorry, never even considered that. What an idiot. Thank you! No doubt I won't have something that fits, but at least I know to check now.

    Radiator Danfoss Valve

Hello All, Happy New Year to you! I have a radiator with a slightly seeping air bleed valve (sorry if my terminology is incorrect, it's one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007JX6CVM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Q2i.FbB2M1MZF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) It's nothing major, just want to fix before...

    Frame shudders when window closed

Thanks. Kind of what I was thinking. Appreciate you taking the time to respond. It doesn't bother me really, it was more out of curiosity. Thanks again.

    Frame shudders when window closed

Hello All, I've never really opened the windows in the living room of my second floor flat - I'm usually out at work all day. Current situation means I have to. They are uPVC, with two inward-opening panes - big one and small one. I've noticed when I close them, the other sort of shudders a...

    Direction to paint ceiling

Thanks Ken. I haven't tried that approach yet, may give it a go tomorrow morning. Do you do any overlap at all between the long strips?

    Direction to paint ceiling

I bet there's a billion threads on this, sorry... I have a small room with 4 walls. Window (only source of light) is in wall A. The only door is directly opposite, wall B. Which direction should I paint ceiling ? My understanding was I should roll from A towards B, but in small sections at a...

    Sealants, Caulks, Fillers... Help!

Oh, I'm not concerned by that. Edit: guess I should add, almost every new build I've known - friends, family - has had the same issue. It happened within the first few years, has never bothered me, and I'm planning to sell this year so getting round to fixing it. It's definitely just that the...

    Sealants, Caulks, Fillers... Help!

Thanks - Yes, it's a crack in sealant. That's what I need to reseal.

    Sealants, Caulks, Fillers... Help!

I have a uPVC window, which has a wooden windowsill internally. It was a new build, so over the past 9 years, the sill has expanded during hot weather, leaving some cracks in between the window and the sill. Attached an example (sorry it's so dark). I'd like to fix this, but not sure what...

    Ideal Standard Dual Flush

This is a really really dumb question, but... The replacement seal... Which side does the clip go on? The flat side or the side with the raised edge? eBay stores show it both ways. The one I took off had the flat side flush with the flush valve, but wondered if that was just due to it changing...
