Thanks Guys
The boiler has a permanent pilot light, but the fan has only recently begun to run permanently (or we have never heard it before). Could it be that the fan is now just noisy and needs lubricating?
Cheers Sue & Dave

Hi Guys
We have a Radiant Combi Boiler (No model on boiler). It works fine but the extract fan continuously runs when the boiler is not in use. Could you suggest a fix or do we need to get an engineer out to it?
Cheers Sue & Dave
:)
Thanks Slugbaby.com this is the most helpful reply we have had. Never even thought of it whilst in France. Doh!!
I assumed that when 'on' was selected, it overrode the timer. Obviously not?
We will have a friend over in the Dordogne (Riberac) try this and let you know what results we get...
Just returned from France. Replaced the Gas Valve and now the hot water is working OK, but no heating!!!!!
Have set the timer with great difficulty!!!! Have also checked all continuity and the wires seem fine.
Any idea if it could be the Timer or the PCB? when you press the DHW override...
Thanks to you all for your assistance on this one, greatly appreciated.
We'll take a PCB over with us and liaise with the engineer. Hopefully we should solve it whilst over there for the week?????
Especially appreciate the French lesson!
Again thanks Sue & Dave :D
Due to the language difficulty and phoning back and forth all the time, we thought we try the forum for as many possible avenues, as we are going out next Friday, so we can try a few different things and have the engineer there with us.
Any posible solutions would be a great help! We can...
Can you please explain a little clearer? The valve is a sealed unit so no set up necessary as far as we know. We have power and all the internal fuses are OK?
Boiler is in our French property and a French Service engineer fitted new gas valve as we had no pilot light at all. Our previous posted questions and answers led us to believe that the valve was at fault. :?
Can any one assist?
We have fitted a new gas valve to our boiler and now the pilot is lit when the water is switched on but the main burner does not fire up? Has anyone got any helpful tips! :? :(
We have been told by a colleague who is looking after the property at the moment that gas is entering the boiler to the main inlet tap which is beyond the regulator. Unfortunately this is all second hand information that we are receiving??? :(
Thanks for that? Have a good spark & 3/4 tank of LPG. Do you possibly have a part No for the gas valve :) please? Aleternatively a stockist in the Oxford area?
Thanks for the quick replies. Unfortunately the heating is not working either. The area of France is Riberac 24600. We have friends and relatives over there who could make arrangements for an engineer, but as you say they are not familiar with Ravenheat so we would like to diagnose the problem...
