    GUTTERINGS AND DOWNPIPES

To reduce the risk of flooding to neighbouring properties, the law requires that you: Keep your drains clear in your property and to ensure that you do not drain water into your neighbour’s property or foul drain. There is a natural right of drainage that allows water that flows naturally...

    GUTTERINGS AND DOWNPIPES

Thanks again for you reply. I have sufficient downpipes for my property. But They take the rain from both properties. I mentioned in the first post that the overflow was affecting my property, not my neighbours.

    GUTTERINGS AND DOWNPIPES

Thank you for your reply. My neighbours do not have any downpipes. I am not responsible for my neighbour's rain that ends up in their gutters, but, then it runs into my gutters creating the problem. According Environment Law, they state this quite clearly as shown in the article I have posted.

    REPLACING CONSERVATORY ROOF

Good morning, Problem 1. I am hoping to replace the Lean-to Conservatory 20 year old Polycarbonate Roof, which has become dirty looking, having been damaged over the years. No planning permission was needed then & that still the case now. I know that prior to changes that came in 2010, 75%...

I have lived in this semi-detached bungalow for 6 years now, & have to say that I am annoyed & embarrassed with myself for not noticing in previous years, that my neighbour shares my gutters & down pipes. My son has cleaned out the gutters...

My New Garden Wall & Patio are starting to fall apart.

Hi Frank. The mortar securing the top row of bricks is all cracked and some end bricks elsewhere on the wall next to the steps are also loose. Personally I feel that he started the project in December 2009, which of course was a real cold winter, so as pointed out in a previous reply the...

My New Garden Wall & Patio are starting to fall apart.

Hi Again, Thank you both for your replies. Much appreciated. To date I have not had any contact from the builder. I sent him an email on Sunday, so that I have created a paper trail. I suspect that he will try and fob me off with various lame excuses. My son has dealings with trading...
