Haha - thank you. I tried that yesterday and it sent a lot of fine mud out the base and sides of the cast iron pipe joints. I stopped as I'd like to know for sure I'm jetting a blockage not undermining my foundations! Will persevere in a day or so and report back. Thanks again

Hi Chris, I'd like to but I've not been brave enough yet as they're both fixed and I'd rather not unscrew things from the wall repeatedly. That said there's probably enough flex in the pipes so I'll take a look. Cheers.

Hi, The plastic cover is a rodding point, but I don't know if they're related. I've cleaned it out but can see which way it goes. Will get the water out and have another look. Rods from the top of the white RWP suggest it might be below ground level but I hit both metal and compacted material...

Hi All, We have a blocked downpipe and any advice on how to get at it would be appreciated. Water is backing the existing cast iron downpipe and flooding out the connections half way up and around the base. I have tried jetting down from the very top (~5m up) and rodding it but with on luck...

Hi, Yes - you can use the VR33 as a pass through - there is a second terminal on the board that will allow you to plug in the X31 connection.

Thanks Ian, it is well out of warranty - 9 years old. My issue is where or how to plug in the VR33 now X31 appears to be taken. Any solutions welcome.

Thanks for the response, I'm aware that VR33 is not approved for use in the UK. Regarding the combustion seal, thanks for the heads up - you must find yourself repeating yourself rather often with these boilers....

Hi All, I'm looking to wire up our Ecotec 937 plus with Opentherm and Evohome. So far I can source the VR33 module and have located the X31 interface on the PCB where this should be plugged in. Unfortunately it appears to have another connection already plugged into this serving the shift load...

All fixed, fibre washer 30mins. No plumber :D

So does numerous other major companies - Intel.. Funny how Moore's law still applies..
