thanks for the replies, I have no convenient plugs so I'll drain a rad and try through the bleed, else the filling loop as suggested. Have noticed that the label on the container (Sentinel) references a dosing vessel.

unfortunately I have no instructions. I have heard of rad bleed valves being used as access points but they are tiny on my rads so I cannot see this working...

Please could someone advise how to inject corrosion inhibitor into a closed system (combi). I presume it's through the filling loop and can be done without draining down... but what device is best used?

Thanks for the advice ollski. The ball was indeed swollen - so much so that it was virtually in contact with both seats simultaneously so certainly must have been restricting flow as well as sticking. I was pleased to discover that the ball and seal were available a service kit, though shocked...

Hello, I have a banging combi (Potterton Lynx 2), it works fine when CH or DHW are operating individually. But if the CH is on, when hot water is drawn it makes a single fairly loud bang. Suggestions as to the cause greatly appreciated! p.s. As I'm writing this, I've just heard it bang again...
