    CDA CW448 Dishwasher leak

It didn't seem to start until halfway through the cycle though

    CDA CW448 Dishwasher leak

Ahh, appreciate that....narrows it down at least! Is it a relatively easy fix? Do I need to approach it by taking the base off? Cheers

    CDA CW448 Dishwasher leak

Hello all, My CDA Cw448 dishwasher appears to have a leak at the base on the right hand side (as facing door) which seems to be coming from the part on the attached pic. Appreciate that the level of the machine will affect where the leak is coming from precisely buy definitely coming from this...

C24 4x2 deck joist size query

Thanks sxturbo....good thought! Did you think my second suggestion of approx 8 full length pieces at 90 degrees was more appropriate? Cheers

C24 4x2 deck joist size query

Thanks for those responses, advice is much appreciated. My boards are going parallel to the house line ( so orientation will be 90 degrees to the one in conny's picture). Would people recommend three full length pieces parallel to the house at 1m, 2m and 3m points (outer frame pieces being...

C24 4x2 deck joist size query

Hello All, I'm building a Balau hardwood deck 3.65m x 4m over existing traditional paving slab patio, using adjustable feet to level the subframe. I only have max 145mm under rear bi-fold door sill so was looking at using C24 4x2 decking joists, with 10 further joists inside the outer frame...

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Thought I would put an update on my boiler problem. Boiler is now working :):):) Many thanks to Terryplumb, as well as everyone else who offered assistance. Following the extra advice to help me understand that the system needed draining I closed the rads bar one which I opened and then...

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

That makes sense, Thanks. Can I save some of the system fluid by shutting the rads and just draining the pipework and leaving drain cock open as i repressure the ev? Do EV's often lose pressure without actually failing?

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Daveydud, I've cycled through 3 times, draining off but as i do so the EV pressure goes down to zero too? Have I got too much water in the system?

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Ahh, ok. I'll take the reading direct off the EV with a tyre pressure gauge. Thanks alot for your advice.

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Couple of pics of boiler, some crud around flue join where black bit meets the grey plastic, not sure where that's come from.

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Ok, so I've got the trap off, cleaned it out and put back on. Took approx 200ml water out of system, pressure at zero on gauge and pressed EV valve....just air, no water. Used pump to get EV to 0.8bar and switched back on. Boiler went through trap fill procedure and then fired up to meet demand...

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

I depressed the valve but only air seemed to come out. Probably did it just short of 2 bar. Does pressure need to be a higher to be more sure if there is a pin hole letting water through?

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Thanks for your reply. Do EV's sometimes lose pressure without needing replacement? Is it a case of getting pressure down to zero in system and in boiler itself, re-pressure the EV 0.75bar as spec'd in manual and then top up to 1-1.5 bar via filling loop?

WB Greenstar 35HE high pressure problem

Hi, As post title suggests I have a high pressure (3.5bar!) problem with my boiler when central heating firing . Cold pressure is about 1bar but rises to 3.5 over about 6-7 minutes with PRV activating before I turn down thermostat for fear of damage. Reading round the subject I thought it may be...
