No it was a normal one I had lying around.

My problem was the phone cable supplied with the alarm. I attached a different one and the problem was solved.

I changed the phone cable (that Yale had supplied with it) and now it's working.

I know I'm resurrecting a very old thread but this just helped me with my Yale alarm. I couldn't work out why it wouldn't dial and replacing the phone cable solved it. So thanks! Not sure if Yale have a problem with their cables.

I was thinking of putting it in the space against the fence, but a bit lower than fence height - perhaps at the level of the uppermost horizontal bit of the fence in the photo. So that's about 180 cm wide, maybe 120 cm high and 100cm deep.
