Electrolux ESL63010 Dishwasher Problem - Drain Pump Changed

Odd one this. Dishwasher stopped mid cycle; beeped a couple of times and shut itself off leaving it full of water. It wouldn't drain or fill and just made a humming noise - like it was trying to do something. Things done so far: 1. Machine removed and anti flood float valve checked -...

    Room inside a garage

I currently have a detached, double garage, with pitched roof and I would like to convert half of the garage into a boys toys area (I have a thing for pinball machines!) In essence I am planning to create a self contained room, taking-up one half of the garage with an internal access door...

    Pressure Drop on Unvented System

Not sure of the definition of system boiler. My setup as follows: Potterton Promax HE in utility room. Unvented Kingspan cylinder and two separate expansion vessels in airing cupboard (red for CH with filling loop and pressure guage and white for DHW) plus actuators and other interesting...

    Pressure Drop on Unvented System

Soz - don't know yet - the company (who did the install for David Wilson Homes) is due back out next week. The last guy seemed knowledgeable so have been happy with their efforts to date - I just like to try and learn a little bit about what they're doing. Just read the WIKI - oops!

    Pressure Drop on Unvented System

Jamie I'll check to see if there is a pressure increase with CH switched-on. Dave AAV's are beyond my scope of knowledge. I wouldn't know what one looked like if it landed on me (or what it does). If you tell me what it could look like then I'll have a butchers. The boiler is in the...

    Pressure Drop on Unvented System

I am having on-going issues with loss of pressure in our unvented system in our new build house and am after some advice so I can have a sensible conversation with the heating engineer. Set-up as follows: Potterton Promax HE Twin zones CH (Zone 1 = bottom floor and Zone = top two floors)...

Radiator hot when call for HW not CH

Thanks for the advice - hopefully it'll settle down - just like the rest of house

Radiator hot when call for HW not CH

I hope it is just settling-in - there are a lot of rooms and rads to investigate if there is a leak! (all for the builder to tackle though). BTW - are plastic piped systems more prone to leaking than copper systems?

Radiator hot when call for HW not CH

Not gravity - fully pumped - with expansion vessels for HW and CH - so presume that means sealed?

Radiator hot when call for HW not CH

Moved into a brand new house with the following set up: Potteton Promax HE Twin zones (Zone 1 = bottom floor and Zone = top two floors) via Siemens controls Big Kingspan HE cylinder and teeny tiny radiators (I'm used to living in older houses - LOL) The radiator in the main bathroom...

    Number of TRVs

Thanks for the advice - I will speak with the site manager about the heating install and TRVs as the house is only at first floor joists. With regard to the Promax - while it may be known to be problematic - in the scheme of things, it isn't a swaying factor for the house purchase.

    Number of TRVs

Total living floor space is 190m2, and I seem to remember seeing at least two control panels (not including the master one near the boiler). So that may be the answer. I've also never lived in brand new house before and the rads seem really, really small!! Hope they got the BTU...

    Number of TRVs

We are buying a new build house and, in the show home and one of the finished homes, only one downstairs radiator is fitted with a TRV. All upstairs rooms are fitted with a TRV. I questioned the sales negotiator who mentioned this to the installer, who said this was correct. I thought you...
