    Shall i or not

I need to have my kitchen replastered. I have two choices. One is to put up some new plasterboard and just paint it or HAVE A GO AT SKIMMING THE WALLS MYSELF !!!!! Now how hard is it to skim the wall, i would consider myself ok to have a go at most things, electrics, central heating(...

Do I remove skirting board beofre plastering?

Ah i have just had a room plastered and didnt remove the skirting, I wish i had now and will do for all the other rooms i am doing. But i suppose it depends on if you intend removeing and replacing Or just painting the skirting board you have now. p.s i am a diy'er and not an expert.

    NEW SOCKET

No i dont think so, the electrics are old. Might decide to just run a new socket from the main, but was just checking because this is a cheaper option

    NEW SOCKET

I want to put a new socket under my worktop for the fridge, do i need to have a fuse above the worktop or can i just run a socket off an existing socket

    Skirting

Start at the top and work down, Do your cutting in first, then paint the walls. it would make the job alot easier if you Paint or varnish your skirting first, before you put it on the wall

    Gloss work

I would say it obviously had loads of coats over the years. Some good, some not so good so its all uneven and is not nice to look at not for me anyway. So i want to take of as much paint as possible. Also is one white gloss better than another, should i water down .
