Fitted it. Looks neat and the how water works perfectly. Sadly the heating doesn't. It may well be an issue somewhere else in the set up as I followed your advice for the programmer.

So there'll be no wires going into the off connectors (1 & 2)? Will everything still work ok?

That's right, nothing currently going into 2 or 4. Is everyone agreed then? Just move 1 across to 4?

There's no wire going into that one or a pin in the back of the programmer. I'm getting in a pro. Thanks for all your advice.

Ha. No respect necessary. I know I'm a simpleton where this stuff is concerned. This was just a penny pinching measure. I was hoping someone might be able to say old 1 goes to new X old 2 goes to new X etc... If it's harder than that, I won't take any risks and will call in a pro...

I thought that the differences were in the programmer rather than the supply. So am I right in thinking that 1 & 2 swap with 3 & 4? I don't want to take risks so want to be in no doubt. Thanks for replies. Told you I was new to this!
