New plasterboard to finished ceiling: how to avoid cracks?

I think eventually I will go with TheHandyAndy suggestion of putting up some coving! But for now I'm going to give this "EasyFill" stuff a go. Thanks for all your suggestions.

New plasterboard to finished ceiling: how to avoid cracks?

Hi, A few years back I took a 1 week course in plastering and have since skimmed my bathroom and chimney breast with decent results (the bathroom ceiling wasn't the best if I'm honest!!). In the bathroom I put scrim where the walls met the ceiling which as I understand it, helps avoid...

Self leveling compound - not as level as I'd like!!

Hi, I've had a go at applying a self leveling compound in my dining room, and am generally pleased with the result. However, it's not perfect, and I have noticed a couple of ridges and dips here and there. Can anyone please advise on how I should go about correcting these...

    How to hide these wires?

I will hide the wires in the safe zones as suggested. I intend on doing the kitchen early next year, which will require the consumer unit to be upgraded. I assume the electrician will be able to put this circuit on an RCD then.

    Can't open airing cupboard door.

Hi people. My airing cupboard door won't open because a clothes horse is stuck under the handle on the inside (why there needs to be a handle on the inside I don't know, but that's the situation). I've tried taking the outside handle off in an attempt to bring the spindle out from the...

8 way adaptor and a magic switch.

Nice one Steve thanks very much. So, if I buy one of those I can just take the plug off the 8 way adaptor and wire it up to that switch?? Cool. I agree with you that the double socket would be better, but I already have the adaptor, and this will keep my time and costs down (my wife is on...
