Does anyone know of a way of reducing the flow or pressure to the cold inlet of our automatic mixer shower. The only way we can get a hot shower is to run a cold tap somewhere else so that the cold flow to the mixer valve is reduced

When I paint over yelowish water stains on the ceiling after a few weeks the yellow marks return. Any suggestions for a permanent fix? :(
