When I paint over yelowish water stains on the ceiling after a few weeks the yellow marks return. Any suggestions for a permanent fix? 
Covering water stains on the sealing.

I use a solvent based undercoat thinned with white spirit. Though you can use polycell stain block and loads of other stuff thats sprung on the market this last decade. I just use undercoat as it's convenient, cheap and works first time every time. Dont use gloss!!!
