Condensation in roof space, not sure what’s wrong

Yeah, it does sound a good idea, like you say though i think they key here is getting fresh air into the loft space. I'm going to tackle that first before i try things like this out.

Condensation in roof space, not sure what’s wrong

Are there any recommendations for lap vents? Number per sq meter or similar that you know off? And by the way - thanks for the recommendation, i didnt even know this was a thing. Finally, i had stopped insulating because of this issue, but it sounds like if anything continuing to insulate...

Condensation in roof space, not sure what’s wrong

Ok, first off many thanks for all your input here, very valuable. Here is a picture of the membrane that sits in my roof space behind the rafters. I'm not sure what type this is, other than it's not felt, would lap vents be a good way forward here initially rather than venting the soffit...

Condensation in roof space, not sure what’s wrong

Many thanks for the, slightly technical, response but I think I get the jist of it. It does bring me back to my question though, with no vents in the soffit, should I be installing vents to allow air to circulate more freely up th there as currently there are none that I can see?

Condensation in roof space, not sure what’s wrong

Hi, I went up into the roof space very recently during the extremely cold weather we have had, it’s a fair size, you can stand up on it and walk around, however I’ve noticed quite a bit of condensation on the underside of the roof. I’ve never noticed this before and if I’m honest it freaked...

Can I fill this gap with something?

Hi all, I have a reasonably sized gap in my bedroom floor between the floor boards and the wall, maybe about 3cm wide. I recently lifted up the carpet etc and and still to replace the skirting but this bedroom is above another room that has a TV in it etc and it would be nice for soundproofing...

Dimmable LED Ceiling lights buzzing and then shut off

Many thanks for all the feedback here, however I don't feel any further forward in what step to take next. It seems that there no 100% guarantee easy way to fix this as it could be either the bulbs or the dimmer at fault but I think we've ruled out wiring. So, as above I can replace the bulbs...

Dimmable LED Ceiling lights buzzing and then shut off

Fair shout, they were installed by our kitchen supplier. They do look unused though. I’ll wait until next time I hear the buzzing, try to find the culprit and disconnect it with the lights on to see if the buzzing stops. I haven’t seen any flickering at all though.

Dimmable LED Ceiling lights buzzing and then shut off

Just missed this, should I try and find a particular faulty light then? They are all new for what it's worth.

Dimmable LED Ceiling lights buzzing and then shut off

Thanks, can I ask what you would recommend here then? Trying a different dimmer, replacing the switch etc?

Dimmable LED Ceiling lights buzzing and then shut off

Hi all, We recently had our kitchen done but we have a problem with our Dimmable LED spotlights in the kitchen. Sometimes, but not always, I hear a loud buzzing from the lights and then they shut off. I have 10 of them, controlled by a dimmer switch on the wall of which ONE of these dimmers...

    Advice on Gardtec 816

Thanks for the advice. I'm sort of in two minds, it's been like this for a few months so do I just leave it etc. But then I'm just worried if the power cuts in the middle of the night and the bell goes off that I won't be able to stop it. I think I'm just going to have to grow a pair and pull it.

    Advice on Gardtec 816

Hmm. That's what I'm worried about. If I disconnected the power and it did go off, is it likely to turn itself off after 15 mins or so? I can handle that, but what I don't want is it going off all day and not having any idea how to stop it. How does that work then, do some bells have batteries...
