Hi guys,
I have an MK h7860s AC type RCD in my fusebox.
For EICR, is it a C2 or C3? Does it HAVE to be replaced with a Type A RCD? Or is it still acceptable?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have an old wooden floor covered with carpet. Want to replace the carpet with the engineered wooden floor.
Once I remove the carpet, what do I need to lay on top of the old wooden planks. Only underlay or anything else?

Thank you,
The 150 is already inside between the rafters and the builders said the BCO is happy with this.
Do I need some layer of vapour control, or do I just tell them to tape everything, including the rafters?
Hi Guys,
I am having a loft conversion done.
The insulation is going in between the 170mm rafters. 150mm Celotex and 20mm gap for breathing.
Do I need a Vapour Control Layer on the inside? Some polyethylene sheet before attaching the plasterboard?
Thank you
Hi Guys,
Having a dormer built in the loft. Due to the height limitations need to go with a Hybrid roof.
Where does the Vapour Control Layer (vapour barrier) go in this scenario?
Hi Guys
Planning a loft conversion, the Architect's recommendation is to place the ensuite loft bathroom on the opposite side of the house from the boiler and the waste pipe.
Is this OK to do, are there any implications of doing this? Can the pipework just runs under the loft floor? Or does it...
Hi guys,
Toilet Flexi waste pipe is leaking, the toilet water tank and pipework is boxed in.
What is the easiest way to replace the waste pipe without removing the box and all the tiles on plywood?
Thanks
Thanks guys,
The brick wall is a cavity wall with a ruberoid membrane in the cavity, do I still need an additional membrane between PIR and brick?
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I will be insulating a garage wall.
It is a brick wall, I will screw 2"x 2" studs to the wall and then will attach Cellotex and the plasterboards to those studs. See picture.
Do I need a vapor control layer in this situation? Maybe between the plasterboard and Cellotex?
Thanks
