Ah...thanks for that. It will not under 1.5 so I'll maybe try raising the set temp a little. Yes I have checked it with a thermometer when it was fitted and it was about 1 degree out. Any thoughts on the ariston modulating stat?

Sounds good to me. Vaillant are worth considering too if you want the most reliable make..plus a little cheaper. I personally prefer the Danfoss TRV after trying them all over the last 20 years.

We have moved into house with large garden with borders. Fed up with forever weeding..so what do you recommend to put in these borders that require little maintaince and will restrict the weeds? At moment they are empty...apart from the weeds coming back

Hi It depends. If the bolt is all rusted up then you would prob need to remove/replace the tap anyway. I'd get a set of dedicated spanners to try tightening it up. Screwfix.

BTW....that shower was poo. Yes even with large pipe to it. Help without insults is not a hard concept.

Hi No...I drained the system and re filled with 2 inhibitors for good luck. Still getting air in the towel rail. Not loads of air but every day about 1 or 2 seconds of air before the water. When I turn the towel rail off...I get no air in the radiators. regarding the blocked heat...

Hi I had a new Ariston Combi fitted a few months ago. A month or so later i added a chrome towel rail from plumbworld that was rather cheap...£45..good value I thought. On decorating a room and removing a radiator, I noticed that the water was a rusty colour....stange for a brand new...
