In the end I took the microwave to a repair shop; they said the door mechanism operated with a spindle which had worked loose. I think they just tightened it up, and did not say that they had used any spare parts or springs. This cost me £40 - which sounds like a lot but built-in microwaves...

I have a Neff built in microwave H5640. I can't open the door because the button you push to do so just goes in loosely and is not engaging with anything. Can I mend this, or install some new part ?

We have an Electrolux ESL 624 dishwasher which won't start. When you turn it on, it just makes a buzzing noise. I guess this is something to do with the outlet or inlet hose being blocked. I have never looked at the back of a dishwasher before, but am happy to have a go at fixing it. Does...
