Because of expansion when hot,As you know when things get hot they expand and when thos happens its causing the connection to leak.

I would ask him to just make sure its balanced,and it should be fine,get inhibator in the system as well.Its vital you get it in,your system can last years and years or go after 5 yrs,if its not protected,i seen rads 4 yr old,swell from normal to 15 " it had gone like that through the system...

Sounds like plate heat ex might be blocking up.I WOULD look into a couple things first,fan is it ok,keep running and if so check venturi ,aps,this is a corgi mans terrority,a pcb it may be but there is lots before i would swap that
