    3ph to Single Phase

This is the best post in this thread, by a country mile! Why I didn't think of that I do not know, haha!

    3ph to Single Phase

This is running away with itself a little it seems! Think I agree that it will be fine to make up a lead, and it seems there's no hard and fast rule for which live to use, and given the loads we'll be putting through it I doubt it matters much. Thanks all.

    3ph to Single Phase

Would making up a lead not be allowed? It's not altering any of the fixed installation at all.

    3ph to Single Phase

Sorry, I meant they are protected by 16, 25 and 32A RCBO's. The sockets themselves are 32A. When making up the lead, which live pin on the 3ph plug would it be best to wire the brown live in the single phase wire to? I appreciate this depends on a multitude of factors with regards to phase...

    3ph to Single Phase

Gotcha. What the repercussions / what's stopping it happening? Is it an insurance voiding thing should anything go wrong etc?

    3ph to Single Phase

Sockets on far wall, isolators on RHS. The cable sizes vary as per first post, as do the breaker sizes. IIRC: 1 x 16a on 2.5mm 2 x 25a on 2.5mm 2 x 32a on 4 or 6mm, have to check. Would only be able to use the 32amp ones for my 20 and 32amp machines I believe? Wouldn't be interested in...

    3ph to Single Phase

What would this look like? At the moment there is a row of 5x rotary isolators on the right hand side. Would it be better to rewire the isolator so it is single phase cable coming out and run it to a single phase socket, instead of trying to convert what's already there?

    3ph to Single Phase

Thanks. Isn't it 50hz regardless of single / 3 phase?

    3ph to Single Phase

Hi all, just took over a 2nd unit at work which has 5x 32amp 3ph sockets on the back wall which will be our workshop. I think 3x are 4mm cable (3c+n+e) and two are 2.5mm. I don't need any 3ph power but do need 20 and 32amp single phase power. Is it OK to make up a lead with some 4mm / 6mm flex...

    Polishing Stainless Steel

Would love to hear more info on these polishing methods (flap wheels etc) I have a coffee machine that should be mirror finish but years of use have left it very scratched and hazy. I bought a stainless polishing kit with a mop that fits onto an angle grinder, and has 3 different polishing...

    Pin Nailer

Would one of these do the job? Been considering one myself. https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-6-14mm-2-in-1-tacker/442HH?tc=UB6&ds_kid=92700055262507126&ds_rl=1244066&gclid=Cj0KCQjwreT8BRDTARIsAJLI0KJrvlkxFRH0GojOQVOF-1EIiVoL163ecCZbvM5T1dpMZ2PkWHju5sQaAmyEEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Fitting Internal Door into Attached Garage

Yeah we can do that, but was kind of hoping to keep it more flush with the hallway wall so it was in keeping with the other two doors in the hall. Think it's doable?

Fitting Internal Door into Attached Garage

Thanks all. If the door is to be hinged on the inside wall, but opens towards garage, won't the hinges be the wrong way round? Also does it pose an issue with door fitment / clearance?

Fitting Internal Door into Attached Garage

Hi all, As above, we're in a mid terrace with attached garage and plan to knock a hole in the wall between hall and garage to fit an internal door. The wall is double skinned with a cavity between, and door will be opening INTO the garage. The total depth of wall including cavity is 240mm so...

    Advice on these Fittings

I don't think it's bespoke as such, as they're common on a lot of coffee machines. Just hard to find them on their own.
