    Thermostat vs Timer

Thanks for all of the responses. It is the one in the photo above. It's at the top of the stairs, outside my bedroom. It's quite high on the wall (level with the top of the door frame), dont know if this makes a difference? The BG engineer who last serviced the boiler commented that it's...

    Thermostat vs Timer

The house we bought has a British Gas 532 Boiler (WB i think) wall mounted behind a wardrobe front in a bedroom, controlled by a British Gas PT2 thermostat mounted on the wall on the landing. It drives me mad ! Once the house gets cold and you turn boiler on via the thermostat, it develops a...

    Triton T80i replacement

We inherited a Triton T80i 8.5kw when we purchased our house 2 years ago and have decided to change it as it's running cold - and looks pretty old ! Thing is, having read the various forums (including this one), we thought we could do a straight swap, but what we now think is that Mr Bodgit who...

    DUALIT toaster tripping house electrics.

Well that's about it really, what more can I say? As soon as I press the level to lower the bread, the house electrics trip - every single time. It is under warranty (although bought of ebay (new), so might find a problem there), but if it's likely to be something simple I might be able to do...

    Hotpoint WD61

hehe. thanks. I'll go ahead and order blue ones... presumably then, I can actually order blue ones - rather than uninsulated ones?? Sorry if that's another silly question, but as you say - better to ask. I have a dodgy Dualit toaster too... next stop.... "new topic"....

    Hotpoint WD61

Hi. I would do, but there are several similar listings, some saying red equivalent, some blue equivalent, and some yellow equivalent. I'm really not sure which colour I need. As I'm looking to sell the washer dryer on, I don't want it blowing up on somebody because I've put the wrong colour...

    Hotpoint WD61

Hi I have an old Hotpoint WD61, which washes fine but won't dry. It turns and looks like it's drying but doesn't get warm at all. A friend of mine took the top off and found that a wire had come loose. He tried to unpinch the the little thing that looks a bit like this...
