DUALIT toaster tripping house electrics.

Well that's about it really, what more can I say? As soon as I press the level to lower the bread, the house electrics trip - every single time.

It is under warranty (although bought of ebay (new), so might find a problem there), but if it's likely to be something simple I might be able to do it myself..... if somebody can hold my hand through it

is the plug a factory-fitted one?

what happens when you plug e.g. a kettle into the same socket?

what confidence do you have that the toaster was in perfect order when you bought it?

that's pretty poor for a new (ish) toaster isn't it.

I only bought it in November '09. Will return to manufacturer.
